Local Copy ITS is proud to offer SecuritySpy, the only full featured video surveillance system for Apple’s Mac OS X. SecuritySpy has the following features. Previous-generation CCTV systems employed analog cameras, which transmit analog video signals over coaxial cable. Analog cameras have significant limitations in terms of resolution and quality, and therefore we do not recommend using them in new system installations. Still, if you want to connect one or more analog camera to SecuritySpy, you can do so via an analog-to-digital video input device. A full list of such devices can be found in the Appendix. Let’s encrypt supports Apache out of box to automatically generate certificates, but it did not work with apache server on my OS X, my guess because of the complicated configurations of OS X Server. SecuritySpy is capable to monitor your surveillance cameras over the local network, but also comes with a built-in web server. As a result, you can connect to SecuritySpy from anywhere in the world, over the internet. If you want perfect, high-resolution video that’s motion-activated and always recording, it might make sense to invest in a higher-end solution. However, you don’t need a sophisticated system to keep an occasional eye on your home or office while you’re gone. With a little ingenuity and the right Apple products, anything is possible.
